The role

Work that must hold up
in the real world.

Archaeopolis provides the project-specific historical framework, recipes and interpretation. Engagements are confirmed separately with written scope, fee, dates and responsibilities.

What the work may include

  • Ingredient preparation, cooking, service and disciplined mise en place.
  • Historical table settings, reconstructed vessels and drinks presentation.
  • Support for demonstrations, workshops and guest interpretation.
  • Food-hygiene, allergy and safe kitchen procedures under production conditions.

What we are looking for

  • Professional kitchen experience or strong, demonstrable practical cooking ability.
  • Calm, reliable delivery during live service and public programmes.
  • Respect for documented methods, measurements and production instructions.
  • A genuine interest in historical food, hospitality and material culture.

Useful, but not essential for every assignment

  • Experience in catering, events, workshops or high-volume service.
  • Food-safety certification and confident English.
  • Availability to travel for selected productions in Greece or internationally.
