Archaeopolis is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Privacy enquiries may be sent to info@archaeopolis.gr.

When you submit an enquiry, we may receive your name, email address, country, project location, dates, organisation, budget range and the project details or files you choose to provide.

For collaborator enquiries, this may also include your city, disciplines, skills, languages, availability, relevant experience, your CV, portfolio links and the working requirements you voluntarily describe. Please do not submit identity documents, medical records or other unnecessary sensitive information.

Basic technical information may also be processed by the services required to host and protect the website.

Archaeopolis uses Matomo Cloud in cookieless mode to understand how the site is discovered and used. It measures page views, referral sources, broad browser and device information, approximate location, internal navigation, contact-link clicks, button interactions, scroll depth, media engagement and enquiry progress. It is not configured with a User ID, advertising profiles, heatmaps or session recordings, and the contents of enquiry fields are not sent as analytics events.

You can select “Disable all measurement” from Cookie settings to exclude this browser. Optional Google Analytics remains disabled unless you select “Accept” in the analytics cookie banner; advertising storage, advertising user data, advertising personalisation and Google Signals remain disabled.

The hosting service also keeps hourly aggregate counts for page requests so Archaeopolis can identify measurement gaps and separate known automated crawlers from human-like browser traffic. Aggregates may include the requested path, response status, broad country and device/browser category, primary language, referring hostname and recognised campaign labels. Raw IP addresses, full user-agent strings, arbitrary query parameters and form contents are not stored in this table. These aggregates are retained for up to 24 months and are never added directly to Matomo visitor totals.

• To protect the site from abuse, fraud and security threats.

Depending on the context, processing is based on your request before entering into a contract, performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, consent where specifically requested, or Archaeopolis's legitimate interest in operating and protecting its business.

Information is not sold. It may be processed by trusted hosting, communications and analytics providers, including Matomo Cloud and, only when allowed by the visitor, Google Analytics. Enquiry information may also be shared with production partners when necessary to answer or deliver a brief. Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area under appropriate safeguards.

Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the enquiry, project relationship, legal obligations and dispute prevention.

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection, and may withdraw consent where consent is the basis of processing. You may also contact the competent data-protection authority.
