Can Ancient Greek props and armour be hired internationally?
Ancient Greek props rental is available worldwide on a project-by-project basis. Historical armour hire across Europe and international destinations may require specialist packing, permits, supervised use or additional insurance, depending on the objects and intended action.

Inside the collection
Natural materials.
Historically grounded.
The film presents a substantial part of the Archaeopolis working collection. The collection makes extensive use of natural materials associated with ancient craft traditions: linen and other natural fibres, plant-derived dyes, leather, wood, clay and ceramic, with bronze used for the principal visible metallic elements. Where safety, durability or production use requires contemporary internal components, these are assessed within the practical brief.
They are developed as functional, research-led reconstructions, informed by archaeological finds, sculpture, vase painting, wall painting and surviving written evidence.
The collection spans forms associated with the Archaic, Classical and Hellenistic Greek worlds, together with related Mediterranean material used where a production requires a broader historical context. Every selection is matched to the period, character and practical demands of the commission.
Clothing & personal equipment
Men's and women's tunics, peploi, draped garments, mantles, belts, head coverings, leather pouches and footwear. The garments use linen and other natural fibres, with colour produced through natural, plant-derived dyes rather than modern-looking synthetic finishes. Their cut, drape, borders and fastening methods are informed by ancient sculpture, painted pottery and surviving representations of dress.
Armour, helmets & shields
A wide range of helmets, round shields, anatomical cuirasses, scale and linked armour, shoulder protection and complete warrior ensembles. The metallic pieces are principally bronze, combined with natural leather, wood and textile components. The forms draw on excavated military equipment and ancient visual evidence, representing different warrior types and phases rather than one generic “Greek soldier”.
Weapons & protective equipment
Bronze greaves, arm and leg guards, bows, arrows, quivers, spearheads, spears, swords, curved blades, daggers and sheaths. Wood, leather, natural cordage and bronze are combined according to the function of each reconstruction. Several pieces are designed to be handled or worn, allowing historically informed movement, demonstrations, choreography and screen action.
The collection in use
Short scenes show the objects outside the studio: armour and shields used by children in educational activity, equipped performers in outdoor combat choreography, a staged presentation and documented public events. These images demonstrate that the collection is not purely decorative; it is a working resource for performance, participation, filming and interpretation.
Cooking, dining & domestic culture
Handmade clay plates, perforated vessels, braziers, grills, tripod cooking pots, lidded pots, pans, cups, kylikes, jugs, amphorae, ladles, leather liquid containers, wooden tables, knives, sickles and wooden bowls. The ceramic objects are functional reconstructions based on ancient cooking and dining forms. Clay, wood, leather and bronze communicate not only appearance, but also handling, heat, preparation, serving and the physical sequence of a historical meal.

For tripod vessels, view the Terracotta Tripod Pot, Part-Glazed Tripod Pot and Open Tripod Ceramic Bowl. Quantities, dimensions, finish and production timing are agreed for each commission.
Theatrical & mythological masks
A collection of theatrical, satyric, mythological and character masks with human, animal and hybrid features. Their exaggerated brows, mouths, hair, horns and expressions recall the visual language of ancient performance and myth. They are produced from natural materials and hand-finished surfaces for use in theatre, ritual interpretation, storytelling, festivals and screen production.
