Who we are
A living culture studio,
founded in Athens.
Based in Athens and working across Greece and internationally, Archaeopolis is a creative studio for event direction, event planning, immersive experiences and historical production, rooted in Ancient Greek culture and extending across the wider Greco-Roman, Byzantine and Mediterranean worlds.
Archaeopolis was founded on a simple conviction: history becomes meaningful when people can encounter it with their senses, their curiosity and their imagination.
Our work moves between intimate private experiences and international productions. We research food and ritual, reconstruct objects, develop characters, rehearse movement, compose programmes and build complete environments in which the ancient world can be understood as lived culture.
Every commission is shaped by its audience and context. We do not offer a fixed theatrical package. We create a bespoke interpretation—research-informed, contemporary in delivery and precise in every visible detail.

Archaeopolis founder Georgios Katsos participated as an invited speaker at the HORECA 2023 Gastronomy Conference organised by the Chef's Club of Greece.
The expert panel, “Healthy Nutrition and Contemporary Gastronomy”, took place on 13 February 2023 at Metropolitan Expo, Athens. Georgios Katsos was presented in the official programme as an Ancient Greek Food Expert & Planner.
