ARCHAEOPOLIS · CREATIVE & CULTURAL PRODUCTION

Event Production & Management in Greece

Cultural Events. Historical Experiences. International Productions.

Archaeopolis combines creative direction, cultural understanding and production coordination for international events, exhibitions and immersive experiences across Greece.

From developing an original concept to coordinating the local delivery of an existing production brief, we connect creative ambition with practical execution.

Two ways to work together

One production language. Two starting points.

Some commissions begin with an idea. Others arrive with a concept, drawings and an international team. In either case, the proposal defines what Archaeopolis leads, what specialist partners deliver and what remains with your organisation.

01 / INTEGRATED CREATIVE PRODUCTION

From the first idea
to the final experience.

For organisations seeking a complete creative and production approach. We develop the concept, experience direction and practical plan, then coordinate collaborators and delivery within an agreed scope. Explore our creative event direction and immersive production practice.

  • Creative concept and cultural research
  • Experience and spatial direction
  • Programme and production planning
  • Scenic and specialist partner coordination
  • Installation and on-site delivery

For cultural institutions, museums, brands and commissioners developing original experiences.

02 / LOCAL PRODUCTION PARTNER IN GREECE

Your concept.
Grounded delivery.

For international teams with an existing brief, creative direction or approved drawings. We assess a local work package and, where the required partners and conditions are confirmed, coordinate its production and on-site interfaces in Greece.

  • Local feasibility and site requirements
  • Relevant supplier identification
  • Agreed sourcing and fabrication coordination
  • Technical partner interfaces
  • Installation, live support and strike planning

For agencies, cultural authorities, exhibition commissioners, diplomatic organisations and brands seeking an agreed local delivery role.

If you are still defining the occasion and its overall responsibilities, start with event planning in Greece for international clients.

What shapes the work

Production informed by culture, place and history.

Cultural knowledge changes practical decisions. It helps determine what an audience should encounter, how a space should read, which objects belong there and how people move through it. That thinking can inform a historical environment, a museum programme or a contemporary cultural activation. Our institutional cultural programmes show this approach in partnership settings.

Our research and material-culture practice is a distinctive part of the studio. It does not require every commission to adopt an Ancient Greek theme. The story, setting and operational plan are shaped around the actual brief.

Production capabilities

From production planning to on-site delivery.

These workstreams form a coordinated system. The services, suppliers and accountable parties are defined separately for each commission.

01

Production planning & feasibility

We translate the brief into an agreed scope, schedule, responsibility map and production requirements. Venue access, preparation space, weather exposure and specialist input are assessed before delivery is committed.

02

Technical & supplier coordination

Where the brief calls for lighting, audiovisual systems or other specialist work, we coordinate requirements and interfaces with the appointed qualified partners. Technical design, certification and operation remain with the responsible specialists.

03

Exhibition & scenic environments

Research, objects, display, scenography and visitor movement can be brought into one production plan. Temporary structures or pavilion elements are assessed against the site, approvals and available specialist partners before inclusion in a scope.

04

Local sourcing & logistics

We identify relevant local collaborators and plan the movement of the elements within our agreed production package. Supplier contracting, procurement, transport and wider guest logistics are assigned explicitly in the proposal.

05

Installation & site coordination

We sequence our commissioned installation with venue access, other contractors, rehearsals and handover points. Site-wide management or regulated construction is included only where the responsible team and scope are confirmed.

06

Live delivery & dismantling

A run of show, agreed cues and on-site responsibilities support the live programme. Strike, collection and site handover are planned for the elements and responsibilities included in the commission.

Who we support

A Greece-based partner for international commissioners.

We work with commissioning and production teams that need cultural direction, a defined local production role or both. Relevant briefs may come from:

  • International event agencies
  • Cultural authorities and institutions
  • Museums and foundations
  • Government and diplomatic teams
  • Brands and exhibition commissioners
  • Destination and hospitality organisations

These are types of briefs we can assess, not a list of client relationships.

A clear path from brief to delivery.

Each stage is adapted to the commissioned work. A project may begin with an approved concept or require only selected stages.

  1. 01

    Brief & scope

Objectives, audience, location, dates and the responsibilities already held by your team.

  3. 03

    Budget & partners

Scope-specific costs, partner responsibilities, supplier proposals and decision points.

  4. 04

    Making & preparation

Approved scenic elements, collection needs, partner fabrication and rehearsal planning.

  5. 05

    Installation & delivery

The agreed load-in, on-site coordination, live cues and production handover.

  6. 06

    Strike & close-out

Defined dismantling, collection and venue handover for the commissioned scope.

Selected documented work

Real Projects. Distinct Production Challenges. Documented Delivery.

Our selected work brings together institutional cultural interpretation, live public programming and the physical production of historical environments. Each case documents Archaeopolis’ actual contribution and the collaborators involved.

Institutional Exhibition & Audiovisual Experience

Greece, the Land of Wellbeing

For the Greek National Tourism Organisation’s 2022 symposium in Athens, Archaeopolis curated the experiential exhibition and contributed historical research and creative direction to audiovisual works exploring Greek tourism imagery and ancient gastronomy. The commission brought material culture and moving-image storytelling into an institutional setting.

Immersive Festival & Public Cultural Programming

A Day in Ancient Greece, Rhodes

A two-day cultural festival brought theatre, reconstructed music, mythological dance, historical gastronomy, crafts and participatory activities together in Rhodes. Delivered within a wider municipal and regional programme, the experience demonstrates how multiple cultural activities can form one coordinated visitor journey.

Historical Reconstruction, Fabrication & Installation

Olkas: A Ship Built for Living History

Developed by Archaeopolis, the Olkas is a reconstructed historical vessel designed for cultural interpretation, exhibition and live performance. Its documented production archive follows the vessel through construction, maintenance, transport, crane lifting and installation, showing how a large physical environment can move between different production settings.

Production questions

Before the first brief.

Can Archaeopolis manage production in Greece for an international agency?

Yes, within a defined local production scope. We can review the agency brief, coordinate agreed collaborators and production elements in Greece, and identify which responsibilities remain with the agency, venue or specialist suppliers.

Can you work with our existing creative concept and drawings?

Yes. We can assess the practical requirements of an approved concept and coordinate an agreed local work package alongside your creative team. Feasibility, rights and technical responsibilities are confirmed before work begins.

Do you provide complete creative concept development?

Yes. For an integrated commission, Archaeopolis can develop the concept, cultural research, experience direction and production plan, then coordinate delivery within the agreed scope.

What types of events and environments do you support?

Our documented work spans cultural programmes, immersive events, historical environments, exhibition contributions, brand experiences and live interpretation. A contemporary brief does not need a historical theme.

Do you coordinate fabrication, technical suppliers and installation?

These can be coordinated when the brief and qualified partners support them. The proposal separates Archaeopolis direction and management from specialist fabrication, technical design, certified work and equipment provision.

Where in Greece do you operate?

Archaeopolis is based in Athens and has delivered work in mainland and island locations. Availability and the local production team are assessed for each place, date and scope.

What information should we provide for an initial production assessment?

Share the location and dates, venue status, audience, intended scope, existing concept or drawings, technical requirements, appointed partners and indicative budget. We can then identify the first feasibility questions.
