Swim GP has announced The World Swims Mykonos for 29 and 30 May 2027. Its published programme places open-water races of 10 km, 5 km and 2 km, alongside youth distances, at Elia Beach. It also lists registration, a briefing and expo activity in Alefkandra in Mykonos Town on the preceding Friday. The event is scheduled for the future; the announcement is evidence of a programme, not evidence that the races have taken place.

The route between the coastal competition site and the town-based gathering points gives this event a distinct destination rhythm. Arrival, wayfinding, participant preparation and the conditions at sea all matter to the visitor experience. Our approach to Mykonos event planning similarly starts with place, guest movement and timing, although Archaeopolis is not involved in these races. Parts of the Swim GP page still name administrative dates in 2026, so entrants should reconfirm fees, race-kit collection and final rules directly with the organiser before making plans.

Experience-production note

The format connects a coastal sporting venue with arrivals, registration and gathering points in town. The organiser page still contains some 2026 administrative dates, so fees, collection times and entry terms should be checked again before booking.
