The production story
Netflix announced Alexander on 5 March 2026. Jacob Tierney is attached to write, direct and executive produce the adaptation of Annabel Lyon’s novel The Golden Mean. Michael Costigan and Jason Bateman of Aggregate Films, and Brendan Brady of Accent Aigu Entertainment, are also executive producers.
The drama centres on Aristotle’s arrival in Macedonia to teach the young prince. Its setting belongs to Alexander’s youth before the Hellenistic successor kingdoms. The official announcement reviewed here does not establish cast, filming dates, locations or a release date.
