The production story

The Arcadia episode brings archaeologists and researchers into dialogue with artistic experimentation by painter Cacao Rocks and choreographer Roula Koutroumbeli. It investigates the difficulty of approaching rituals whose participants were expected to keep their experience secret.

The Chania Film Festival’s 2023 programme identifies this as an episode of Ancient Greek Mysteries, but its individual record explicitly gives production year 2022. It is therefore filed under 2022, not treated as a new 2023 film.

Known filming locations

Arcadia is the central subject. The cited festival record does not list every filming site.
