The production story

The documentary follows Maria Grazia Chiuri and the artisans contributing to Dior’s Greece-inspired collection. Anemon describes how the art and architecture of antiquity enter a contemporary exchange between fashion ateliers and Greek craft.

Thessaloniki lists a 2021 production year and a Greek premiere at its 24th documentary festival in 2022. The collection’s Cruise 2022 name is not used as the production year. This is a record of contemporary design informed by antiquity, rather than ancient costume reconstruction.

Known filming locations

The Panathenaic Stadium in Athens is the documented show venue. The festival catalogue also follows work in Paris, Argos, Soufli, Thassos and Piraeus; these belong to the production’s craft and event journey.
