Andreas Georgiadis brought two related bodies of work to the Municipal Gallery's Matogianni Hall from 5 to 20 September. New ink drawings followed journeys through Delos and its topography, while earlier works responded to the poetry of C. P. Cavafy. The meeting of an archaeological island and a literary voice gave visitors two routes into the Mediterranean past: one through a physical place, the other through interpretation and text.
Fani-Maria Tsigakou curated the exhibition. It was not a reconstruction of ancient life, but a contemporary artist's account of what historical places and poems can set in motion. That distinction also matters in historical and cultural production, where source material has to be translated for a present-day audience. The gallery exhibition was independent of Archaeopolis.

This is a clear bridge between literature, visual interpretation and the archaeological landscape beside Mykonos. The travelling curatorial frame allows Delos to function as cultural memory rather than as a decorative destination reference.
