The Nicholas Egon exhibition brought 29 paintings and drawings to Mykonos from the Tellogleio Foundation's collection. Spanning work from 1948 to the artist's later years, it put portraits of postwar Greek women, refugees, partisans and orphans into conversation with later society portraits and landscapes. A visitor could therefore trace not just a painter's style but a long shift in the people and places he chose to depict.
The exhibition's strength was that historical span: the works allow images of everyday and exceptional lives to sit within one artistic biography. The Municipal Gallery setting placed that account within Mykonos's public cultural programme rather than a private resort environment. Archaeopolis's institutional partnership work concerns other cultural collaborations; it had no role in this Tellogleio presentation.
