The production story

Lavrynthos follows an unexpected relationship between the Minotaur and Cora inside the labyrinth of Crete. Its spatial design turns a small physical area into an apparently expanding maze, making disorientation part of the narrative.

La Biennale lists the Brazil–Peru work in its 2021 Venice VR Expanded programme. It is an immersive screen narrative, rather than a conventional feature film or a historical reconstruction of Minoan life.

Known filming locations

Crete is the mythological setting of the virtual world. The festival record does not confirm physical location filming in Greece.
