Classical Greece
Theodoros Papakostas follows the people, manuscripts and historical circumstances through which ancient Greek texts reached the present.

The production story
Rescued in Time follows the survival of Greek literature across antiquity, medieval manuscript culture and later transmission. Its historical scope extends beyond the date when the original texts were written.
The University of Athens identifies eight episodes, with its philologists Amfilochios Papathomas and Theodora Antonopoulou acting as scientific advisers, and gives the premiere as 3 February 2023. COSMOTE independently lists the series as 2023. This is one series record, not eight separate productions.
