Maja Petrić's ‘Specimens of Time’ used changing environmental conditions as material for an outdoor light work at Scorpios. The official description connects its evolving visual form to Aegean sunlight, wind and environmental data. Rather than displaying one fixed image, the installation invited visitors to notice that what they saw belonged to that moment and that site; a later encounter could not be exactly the same.
The work is especially interesting after sunset, when luminous forms become more legible against the venue's surroundings. Its production depended on the relationship between technology and landscape, not on technology alone. That is a concrete example for anyone interested in immersive event design: the environment can actively shape the artwork. Petrić and the Scorpios Encounters programme remain the creators and presenters of this installation.

Experience-production note
The work uses the island's live conditions as production material, so site and content cannot be separated. Its shifting lightscape shows how environmental data can create an emotionally legible, place-specific installation.
