Bronze Age Greece

Mycenaean World

Historical production support

Armour, helmets, dress and everyday objects give a Mycenaean setting its physical presence. Archaeopolis brings research and specialist making together for productions exploring Bronze Age Greece and adaptations of the Trojan story.

Research to physical production

What we can
develop together.

01

Historical research & script context

Translate the chosen period, place and narrative into references for armour, clothing, domestic objects and social settings. For Homeric adaptations, establish how the film relates epic poetry to Bronze Age material evidence.

02

Armour, helmets & props

Review the documented Mycenaean editions and suitable equipment for the brief. Confirm existing-piece availability separately from new commissions, adaptations and performer fittings.

03

Costume & character development

Coordinate armour with clothing, accessories and the performer’s movement. Develop individual looks and ensemble consistency around the script and visual direction.

04

Historical worldbuilding

Extend the work from a hero object to the objects and activities around it: a meal, a camp, a household or a ceremonial scene. Agree the research, selection, fabrication and supervision required.

Historical worldbuilding

A shared reference
for every department.

We develop a coherent Mycenaean world through armour, costume, props and scenic details, combining collection pieces with customised constructions for your production.

Planning the work

Define the scope.
Then prepare the production.

Existing pieces

Rental depends on the selected object, dates, condition, fit and intended use. Archive photographs show the collection’s work; they do not guarantee stock.

New commissions

Agree the references, dimensions, materials, finish and schedule before fabrication. Specialist making is developed with the appropriate collaborators.

Support in Greece & abroad

Research, fittings, packing, transport coordination and on-site support are scoped around the project. Share the location, dates and required action with the first brief.
